Zdenek Husek has a strong expertise in regional development, serving as the Team Leader for the Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3) and its implementation plans in the Usti region since 2019. He has played a pivotal role in preparing Usti for the Just Transition Mechanism and has actively participated in various regional and economic development committees. With a rich history in leading projects, Zdenek managed spin-off companies from the Czech Technical University Prague and was instrumental in the conceptualization of three technology centres. As the Chairman of the Technology Center Hradec Kralove's supervisory board, he fostered innovation ecosystems and technology transfer. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated multifaceted expertise, from strategizing transformative projects and facilitating R&D endeavors in advanced technologies to capacity building and collaborating with global entities like the World Bank or European Innovation and Business Centres Network (EBN).
