Sabina Hodžić holds a PhD in Economics and is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka (Croatia). Her main research areas are public finance, international tax issues, local and regional government, digital economy, and green development. She is the author of several papers published in scientific journals and has participated in several academic research projects at home and abroad. She is currently an active member of a Horizon Europe project “Bridging Organisations and Marginalised Communities for Local Sustainablity Transitions in Europe”, which focuses on understanding how marginalised communities are affected by EGD-related policies and whether their involvement in decision-making processes increases support for transition plans. With the knowledge gained from academia and practice in the field of just transition (especially in Croatia), she is able to provide expert advice and support to Just Transition Fund regions in the implementation of Territorial Just Transition Plans and work with key stakeholders.
