Ricardo Garcia Mira is a Professor of Social Psychology, focused on applied environmental social psychology. He has led studies on ecological behavior, environmental impacts, and risk perception, often under the aegis of the European Union and Spanish educational institutions. Presently, he spearheads the ENTRANCES project (Horizon 2020) which delves into the societal effects of transitioning away from coal and carbon. His previous leadership roles include coordinating the FP7 European projects like GLAMURS on sustainable green lifestyles and LOCAW on workplace transition to a low carbon Europe. Furthermore, Professor Mira contributes to projects such as TRIGGER on health and climate change, and SMARTEES on energy-related social innovation. Through these efforts, he has fostered collaboration across multiple coal-intensive European regions, generating comprehensive reports and policy recommendations.
