Radana Leistner Kratochvilova is currently a Director of the Support for a Low- Carbon Economy Transition Department at the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. She is responsible for the implementation of the Just Transition Fund, focusing on the social, economic, and environmental impacts of the transition to a climate-neutral economy. Her main tasks were identifying the themes to be financed from the JTF, communicating with the EC and engaging the stakeholders in the regions.

Previously, she was the Head of Unit responsible for Regional Development Strategy at the Ministry of Regional Development in the Czech Republic. Her main achievement so far is the government approval of the RE:START Strategy for the three restructuring regions with former coal mines; it was prepared by the Ministry of Regional Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which had identified the main challenges and solutions for the coal regions and defined action plans and main projects beneficial to the situation. The strategy was used as a basis for the JUST Transition Territorial Plan for all three Czech coal regions. Radana Leistner Kratochvilova was responsible for the setup of stakeholders engagement and the bottom-up approach in the regions by dealing with the regional standing conferences (stakeholders platforms).
