Margarita has a 20 year experience in capacity building of European regions and cities transitioning to more inclusive, innovative and socially just digital economies. She has supported over 50 European regional and urban authorities, and on various JT and EU-funded projects/programs, in sustainable and just management of digital and green transition.
Moreover, she has worked on how Responsible Research and Innovation keys can be applied throughout the digital transition process. She is one of the world's leading researchers at the smart and sustainable cities domain. She studied Architecture (BSc), Urban and Regional Planning (MSc), and Sustainable Management or Urban Resources (MSc), followed by a PhD in Strategic Planning for Smart City Development and executive MBA.
