Marek is a senior methodologist, project manager, and expert evaluator with over 10 years of experience in the EU funds management system across the Slovak public administration. Currently at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, he focuses on the methodological agenda, guidelines, and financing strategies for various EU funds, including direct involvement in Slovakia's Just Transition Fund (JTF) implementation.
He has extensive experience in assessing technical and financial viability, having evaluated over 150 projects. His core expertise includes project and financial management, economic evaluation, Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), and State aid assessment, including SME classification. Furthermore, Marek has led economic evaluation teams, established uniform standards for project assessment, and provided expert consultations for local development strategies and SME support.
