Eliza Barnea is a Just Transition Campaign Coordinator for Bankwatch Romania and an expert for the World Bank Group. Her involvement in the JT process spans roles in academia, NGOs, IFI, or political foundations, having worked closely with the Romanian government at all levels. Her work centres on the social inclusion – green transition nexus, including job market analysis, reskilling initiatives, green job transitions and participative governance structures. She plays a pivotal role in coordinating the national implementation of the LIFE22-CET-RePower the Regions project and ensures national press coverage for Just Transition topics. She has cultivated a cross-sectoral expertise and expansive network within JT territories of different energy-intensive industries, spanning from public authorities to vulnerable group representatives.
