Simone d'Antonio is registered as Lead Expert for the URBACT IV Programme with Action Planning with expertise in energy transition, local economy, participatory governance, urban design, and communication. Currently, he is lead expert of the Action Planning Network Cities After Dark, specializing in the night-time economy for sustainable urban growth. His expertise spans various areas, including integrated and participatory design of strategies, capitalisation, and communication, and has supported more than 100 European cities in developing integrated strategies of sustainable urban development, Simone is experienced in advocating for just transition initiatives in European cities, including co-authoring a significant study for C40 Cities and facilitating knowledge exchange with Italian cities. He is actively involved in upskilling and reskilling initiatives, notably through his work on the Urban Innovative Actions project in Cluj and his research on green skills for the future. Additionally, Simone collaborated with the Veneto Region on a plan that aligns sustainable energy actions with just transition efforts.
