Dr. Rumyana Grozeva is a researcher focused on sustainable development matters and her dissertation, defended in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, also investigated the role of the local authorities. Since 2008, she has been working as Executive Director at the Regional Economic Development Agency of Stara Zagora. She has led various initiatives to promote green economic diversification and job creation in Stara Zagora. This involved creating tailored support programs for entrepreneurs, nurturing start-ups in clean tech sectors, and collaborating with business incubators. She has engaged closely with SMEs, regional authorities, and industry associations. Moreover, she has co-organised projects focused on clean hydrogen and digital solutions. She is also lecturer at Sofia University and Trakia University.
