Pär Johansson is an expert in regional innovation and industrial transition, supporting multiple regions in turning EU policy frameworks into concrete investment-ready projects. He has contributed to the implementation of the Just Transition Fund (JTF) in Norrbotten by strengthening the regional project pipeline. His work focuses on industrial transformation and skills development in sectors such as fossil-free steel, mining transition, and logistics.
As Chief Strategist at LTU Business, he has led strategic innovation and business development initiatives aligned with Smart Specialisation (S3). He has co-developed the Innovation Due Diligence (IDD) methodology, applied in more than 100 projects to assess innovation potential, project maturity, and regional impact. Across more than 100 projects representing around €40 million in investments, Pär has helped regions and project owners move from early concepts to implementable initiatives that strengthen industrial transition through regional innovation.
