Nikos Koutsomarkos is an urban and regional development expert with a background in planning, holding both an MSc and an MBA. Currently based at Project4, Nikos has extensive experience in providing strategic support to the region of Western Macedonia and the municipalities of Kozani, Grevena and Eordaia, helping them to formulate development strategies and implement various projects. He has made a significant contribution to the REGIONS2030 project as an external expert for the Joint Research Centre (JRC), providing a key report on the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region. He is currently actively involved in the development of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy for the municipality of Eordaia, funded by the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) and the Just Transition Fund (JTF).
