Maria Goula is a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Western Macedonia. Her contributions span across several innovative projects, notably the "Greece - Republic of North Macedonia 2014-2020" Interreg IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme, focusing on technological and educational innovations. Maria was involved in promoting low carbon footprint energy technologies to foster excellence in the Western Macedonia region. Additionally, her collaborative research and technology endeavors with China have led to the development of new catalysts for automobile exhaust purification and efficient energy production from agricultural residues. One of her projects, "Research - Create - Innovate," centered on the advanced utilization of biogas and CO2 emissions, converting them entirely to ethylene.
