Södertälje Science Park is an innovation district in the industrial city of Södertälje. It resulted from close collaboration between the city’s municipality, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and the private companies AstraZeneca and Scania.

In Just Transition Fund region Savinjsko-Šaleška, the closure of Velenje coal mine will bring comprehensive economic and social restructuring. As a result, Velenje is moving away from coal mining and transitioning to become a climate-neutral city.
